The Team working on the Secondary Education Research Study has completed a literature review of trends in participation in secondary & tertiary education in Sri Lanka (Comparison with selected Asian Countries-South Korea, Thailand, Singapore) to understand the contribution of Secondary Education to provide the pre-requisites of high human development. A consultative webinar was organised with some of the research agencies currently conducting studies on education to get their views, suggestions, etc., for further research.
The Marga team also completed a survey on how households coped with online education. These reports are available to the public. The Marga Team will continue its studies on education and address the role of the school curriculum as a facilitator of learning & utilisation of learning.
