Communication and branding skills for CSOs and CBOs to support freedom of religion and belief

The Marga Institute partnered with Magic Mango to create content for a Communication Tool Kit to counter hate/harmful speech. The one and half year programme consists of six elements- Monitoring mainstream media and social media to identify harmful/hate speech, Introduction to religious freedom and how it benefits the public, explanation of the beliefs and basic traditions of the four religions, Guidelines and methodologies to monitor Facebook posts (video tutorials), Videos with counter messages and Checklists, Do’s & Don’ts and step-by-step guideline for CSOs on countering harmful/hate speech.

Survey Research Lanka will monitor mainstream media whilst Popkorn (PVT) Ltd will monitor social media. This programme is supported by the Embassy of Netherlands.
